Senior Associate

Mr. Waweru is currently a Senior Associate at West Lane Partners.  Brian brings ten years of global private equity experience to the firm. His career began at Blackstone in their flagship fund in New York where he spent three years with the firm focusing on US buyout transactions across industries. He then worked in emerging markets mid-cap private equity doing a mix of control buyouts, equity co-investments and fund investments. Brian worked at both Ninety One Asset Management and at Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) in South Africa where he completed a number of transactions across sectors. Brian holds a BS in Economics with a finance concentration from the Wharton Business School and a BA in International Studies with a minor in French from the University of Pennsylvania. Brian is also a graduate of the African Leadership Academy where he is currently a member of the Board of Trustees.
